Welcome back, friends! If you are new here: Hi 👋🏻 I’m Merideth, and I am an oboist, author, and creative coach. Art’s Open Door is all about exploring how creativity, beauty, and the spiritual life intersect. I’m so glad you’re here.
There are lots of fun updates coming this fall for all things Artists for Joy—podcast news, interviews with inspiring creators, new tiers on Patreon, etc.! All that excitement is coming, and I will share more next week, but in the meantime, it felt important to catch you up on how things have been around here (by “here” I mean inside my head and heart.)
Since the book tour for Art Is How God Loves Us ended, I’ve been reflecting on what long periods of extended output can do to the artist— a.k.a how I’m really doing at the end of a very busy, full summer— a.k.a. how I’m learning and relearning a deep truth about the creative process.
Since it’s such a personal one, it’s for paid subscribers only. (If you’re considering upgrading, now’s a good time with all the new perks coming next week, just sayin’!)
